Family Portraits at Merritt Point Park

DUNDALK, MD —

Sarah taught my daughter in school, and as a way to say thanks, I offered her a complimentary family portrait session.

We got together a few hours before sunset at Merritt Point Park one sunny Saturday evening.

The family of five looked adorable, especially her youngest who was asleep in dad’s home when they arrived. I somehow knew, however, that as soon as he woke up, this little guy would give me a run for my money, and run he did :)

He wasn’t keen to be posed in any way, shape, or form no matter what we did, so the family and I remained flexible, running after him and posing quickly before he was off again to his next destination.

The family was able to gather for a quick snap by the tree before the little cherub sprinted off.

I was also lucky enough to have had a solid five minutes at the beginning of our session to capture a few posed shots just after he woke up while he was still content to remain in mom’s arms. I will admit that I utilized Photoshop trickery to achieve the final image by swapping little man’s smiling face from a previous frame into the frame in which the entire family was also smiling. This was Sarah’s favorite.
