HARPERS FERRY, WVa. --

I had never been to Harpers Ferry, but I had always heard so much about it growing up. So when a group of friends decided to camp there one weekend in September 2017, I knew I had to bring my gear along for the adventure.

Arriving in town just before sunset on a Friday evening, I pulled my car over on Route 340, grabbed my Nikon and tripod, and walked to the middle of the bridge overlooking the Shenandoah River to capture the serene pre-sunset scene.

After spending a lovely evening with friends, I woke up just before sunrise on Saturday morning and documented the sun as it rose over the point at which the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers converge.

Prints of my Harpers Ferry adventure are on sale now beginning at $30 for an 11x14 lustre print and $100 for an 11x14 canvas gallery wrap. For more information on how to purchase your very own copy, contact your favorite Offbeat Photographer at JLB@offbeatphotographer.com.
