A Year Later: Family Portraits with One-Year-Old Kaiden
Pasadena, Maryland -
Kaiden is back with his mom and dad for his one-year-old portrait session. I photographed Kaiden as a newborn, so it was fun to see how big he has gotten since last year.
We met in May at Lake Waterford park in Pasadena, and with only an hour to shoot, didn’t waste time getting started.
Kaiden has learned the walk, which we documented at great lengths throughout the session. I rotated groupings and posings throughout making sure to get Kaiden with both parents, each parent individually, candid playful moments with the family, as well as posed formal portraits.
Though we only had an hour, I had dozens of final images to choose from because no matter what situation I put Kaiden in his bright smile shone throughout. I’m not sure I’ve ever known a one-year-old who could smile on cue EVERY TIME, but that is exactly what he did.
With his giant almond-shaped eyes, cute curls, and incredibly easy smile, Kaiden remains a favorite subject of mine.
