Arnold, Maryland -
It was a privilege to sponsor and photograph Providence Center Inc.'s second annual Light the Night Harvest Bash on October 23, 2016.
The organization, which provides services and support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, sure knows how to have fun and party. In addition to the beer tasting station and the epically sweet s'mores bar, the circus-like tent and greenhouse located on the Arnold campus were tastefully decorated with pumpkins, bales of straw, and stringed white lights, which gave the rooms a very inviting ambiance. Though a little too chilly and windy to fully enjoy, two fire pits were also set up outside the tent which, on a better evening, would have been the epicenter of fun.
The purpose of the event was to raise money for Providence Center's services and programs, and between sponsorships, the live and silent auctions, and the price of tickets, the evening did just that.
But that doesn't mean Providence Center couldn't always use more help, which is why you should check out the volunteer opportunities at the Anne Arundel County-based program. From the organization's Gifts that Give program, to monetary donations, and the donation of your time and energy, every little bit "matters and is an investment in the extraordinary lives and dreams of those we serve."
